OBSCURA SCREEN

The DesignTo Festival draws an international group of designers and design lovers. Connecting this community was perhaps most crucial in 2020. Architecture Riot responded to an invitation to address WORK/LIFE as part of an annual Umbra furniture design exhibition.

The obscura screen sought to address the lack of separation between home-life and work-life by providing both privacy and an elegant backdrop with an eye towards midcentury modern design. The modern, curved design provides a magnetic display on one side and a mirror finish on the other, while multi-functional brackets allow for both free-standing and wall-hung positions. Multiple screens are easily combined to create partitions and enclosed spaces within any home.
